Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. anti-HIV (p24) antibodies are pre-coated on onto 96-well plates along with recombinant HIV antigens (recombinant HIV-1gp41, gp120, and recombinant HIV-2 gp-36). If any specific HIV 1/2 antibodies are present in the sample, they will be captured inside the wells at the time of first incubation.
